Bereavement and Grief Counseling
Bereavement and sadness are not lighthearted subjects. Bereavement refers to the process of grieving after the death of a loved one, whereas sorrow is a reaction to any type of loss. Both include a wide variety of feelings such as fear, rage, and deep, deep grief. Bereavement and grief are sacred.
The process of adapting to a loss can dramatically change from person to person, depending on their background, beliefs, relationships, and other factors. Every grieving experience is individual. A person may be able to continue their day-to-day routine after one loss, yet not be able to get out of bed after the loss of another. Whatever your personal symptoms are, grief and bereavement counseling have been proven to help. I will work with you to explore your symptoms of loss and how to create a sacred space for your loved one.
